TRAINING CAMP

Training Camp at The Barking Lounge is a Board & Train program designed to give your dog a solid foundation of basic obedience commands which you can build off of. The program is two weeks in length (10 days total) with the weekends spent back at home with you! Simply drop your dog off on either Sunday afternoon (between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM) or Monday morning (between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM), and pick your dog up on Friday (between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM). And let us take care of the rest!

PROGRAM STRUCTURE: For the next five days, your dog will enjoy private daily training sessions with our in-house trainer, Julie Forbes, in addition to daily playcare and socialization. At night your tuckered pooch will retire to The Barking Lounges canine condos to recharge for the next day. After the first week of training Julie will come to your house to demonstrate and practice your dogs new commands with you to set you up for the weekend while your dog is back home with you. During the second week of Camp, Julie focuses on solidifying the first weeks work, as well as introducing a few new commands to your dog. After the second week, Julie will come to your house for another private lesson to review all of the training and answer any questions you may have. In addition to the two private lessons following each week of training, a follow up private lesson is included which is generally scheduled about a month following the completion of the program.

BENEFITS: Training Camp has something to offer every dog and dog owner. Because of the private and personalized training that Julie provides, Training Camp will benefit dogs of all different levels of education, including: puppies with little-to-no training who need to learn basic commands and manners; dogs who have some basic training background but need to learn to listen with more consistency and respond appropriately around higher levels of distraction; and even dogs who have specific behavioral issues that youd like addressed (Note: Training Camp is not appropriate for dogs with severe behavioral issues, and any undesirable behaviors must be discussed with Julie before your dog is accepted into the program. Also, dogs that dont get along with other dogs in a daycare environment may still attend Training Camp but wont be able to socialize with the other guests.)

COMMANDS YOUR DOG WILL LEARN:  Lets Go, Right Here (loose leash walk), Wait at doors, Sit, Come, Down, Off, Stay, Go to your rug and Wait on your rug

PLEASE NOTE: This program is designed to teach your dog basic obedience skills and commands, and also to transfer over the tools and knowledge to you. Your success at home is dependent upon your providing your pooch with continuing education in a consistent manner at home. The 3 in-home private lessons are designed to transfer the dogs new skills over to you and the ongoing work must ultimately be done by YOU, THE OWNER! And you always have the option to extend the program for an additional week for more advanced work.

TUITION: $750. Price includes 10 private training sessions with your dog and 3 in-home private lessons with you and your dog, but does not include boarding fees. Regular boarding fees apply.

TESTIMONIALS:

"After only one week, Julie made so much progress with Sadie we wondered if we brought home the right yellow dog. After the second week, we hailed Julie the Dog Whisperer." - Sadie's (yellow Lab) Mom

"I can say easily that the change in him, so far, is amazing. I was proud of Griz tonight when he demonstrated his "leave it" command, I can honestly say I did not think it was going to be possible or so amazing to watch him listen and obey. SO thanks for restoring my faith in him, and in my capabilities to provide him with the proper guidance." - Grizzly's (soft coated Wheaten) Mom
